THIS WEEK on the Golf Channel
This Week Golf Hawaii’s guest is Hawaii’s own Tadd Fujikawa. Where has Tadd been and where is he going? We’ll find out. And our featured resort destination is not one island destination but three as we focus on the Prince Resorts Hawaii on Oahu, Maui and the Big Island. The Going for the Green segment looks at Daniel Chopra’s playoff win at the 2008 Mercedes Benz Championship and WM’s recycling plan that will save millions of gallons of water. Mark’s View editorial looks at two topic: Tadd Fujikawa’s decision to turn pro and the golf industry’s declining rounds.
HAWAII FOCUS: Prince Resorts Hawaii
On the islands of Maui, Hawaii and Oahu the Prince Resorts Hawaii will introduce you to three spectacular resort destinations. The Golf Courses at the Prince Resorts Hawaii properties are just as unique as the destinations themselves. The Makena Resort on Maui features two 18-hole layouts with the South Course currently not in operation as it is being renovated under the supervision of the architect Robert Trent Jones JR. But the North Course is just waiting for you to sample its splendor.
On Hawaii’s Big Island the Mauna Kea Golf Course is now re-opened after a spectacular renovation by the U.S. Open doctor Rees Jones, the son of the original architect. The sister course at the Mauna Kea Resort is Arnold Palmer’s Hapuna Golf Course. Hapuna is a sprawling layout that climbs the hillsides high above the Kona-Kohala coastline.
The Hawaii Prince Golf Club on Oahu features 27 holes and is the only golf course on the Island that is owned and operated by a hotel in Waikiki. The three unique 9 hole layouts can be played in different combinations. Just like the Hapuna Golf Course architect Arnold Palmer will reward you for good driving here.
Prince Resorts Hawaii Golf … three islands, three unique facilities and lots of fun!
